Pastor Rich Brashears grew up right here in Central Florida, graduating from Lake Mary High School before moving on the earn a degree in Electronics Engineering. Ordained at Seminole Community Church, Pastor Rich is a veteran Children’s and Youth Minister with over 10 years of experience in guiding young lives toward a greater understanding of Christ’s love and inspiring countless students to live their beliefs “out loud.”

With 5 years on staff here at SCC, Pastor Rich has devoted himself to the education and care of the next generation. His number one aspiration is to see young people truly know the love of Jesus Christ personally and in such a way that their lives are transformed. He is also passionate about equipping them to help their peers also come to know the love of Christ as they discover the relevance in their faith and how it can impact not only their own lives but the world!

With his wife and ministry teammate, Lori, Pastor Rich has made great efforts to ensure the continued growth of our future Children’s and Youth Ministries with four fabulous kids, two girls and two boys! Rylyn (13) is in middle school at Millennium Middle, Luke (10) attends Wilson Elementary with sister, Sophie (8), and then there’s Wade (3), the latest addition.

There’s nothing Pastor Rich treasures more than “hanging out” with his family. It’s by far his favorite pastime! And when he has extra time, Pastor Rich also enjoys reading, working out, and yard work. But with family and ministry as his priority, he’s not only very dedicated to both, his genuineness and realness also makes him very good at both. With ever a heart for young people, one of his biggest dreams and hopes for the near future is for every local middle and high school campus to have a thriving campus ministry where students can hear about and be reached for Jesus.
