Pastor Mike Enters has traveled the globe before landing here in Central Florida at Seminole Community Church. Pastor Mike originally hales from the great state of Wisconsin where he earned a degree in Commercial Art at the Milwaukee Area Technical College before continuing in Intercultural Studies to receive his Bachelor’s degree. He obtained additional education and training in New Tribes Mission’s Bible School and Missionary Training programs. For over four years, Mike was a tribal missionary to Thailand, then a Member Care Pastor in San Dimas, California, and a Home Missionary and Graphics Designer at the headquarters for New Tribes Mission in Sanford, Florida. Since 2006, Pastor Mike has been on staff at SCC with diverse roles ranging from Children’s Pastor to Office Manager and Graphic Designer/ Publications Producer. Not only does Mike keep everything running smoothly in the office as well as creating and designing the artwork for all of our church’s publications, he is the pastor overseeing our Children’s Ministries. Every Sunday, you can find Pastor Mike immersed amongst forty to sixty elementary-aged youngsters, leading them in the KidsZone experience, our fun, fast-paced children’s program. With Pastor Mike running the show in KidsZone, you will find him teaching a Bible lesson, acting in one of the dramas or organizing zany games for the kids to play. His number one goal is for young people to hear the message of Jesus and learn more about what God says to them. He would love to see us reaching out and including still more kids, even expanding our current facilities to be able to fit more in! Pastor Mike is the father of three children. Allie (20) is already grown and on her own while his two sons, Frank (18) and Jack (11), are still living at home with him. In his spare time, Mike enjoys traveling, reading, learning about history, biking, being outside, and of course…his kids! He even thinks it would be fun to someday ride his bicycle around the country and go camping for awhile. Mike could see himself going back to Thailand someday as a tribal missionary, but until then he’d like to see our church campus become even more of a “community” church with a park and a fishing pond, picnic tables and a larger playground, and maybe even basketball courts or a softball diamond, anything that could attract the surrounding community to the church and hopefully, eventually, to God, as well. |
